Chantelle Francis is a journalist and writer based in Melbourne.

By day, she covers hard news, focussing on the facts. By night, her imagination runs wild making up fictitious stories. 

She wears many hats at The Weekly Times, as a news reporter, social media coordinator and syndication editor. She also has experience working as a television reporter.

Chantelle was named the 2019 Young Journalist of the Year by the Rural Press Club of Victoria, and was a Young Journalist of the Year finalist in the mid-year 2020 Walkley awards, 2020 News Awards (News Corp Australia) and 2019 Melbourne Press Club Quills awards. She has also been highly commended in the Quills and National Rural Press Club awards.

She has a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) and has studied in both Australia and the USA.
